For the first time, we had Deusi/Bhailo take place at YBC head office. 'Deusi/Bhailo' is a significant tradition for the Nepalese festival of lights, Tihar, similar to the commonly known Diwali festival. Our hardworking ladies from the Lord Wandsworth College Site Team organised 'bhailo', a folk performance where groups of women go door to door to sing and dance with the intention of bringing good fortune and blessings to the place.

It was a great first-time experience for many of our staff and everyone ended up joining in on the celebration. As hosts, we gave our thanks by preparing traditional gifts, such as money, sweets, fruits and drinks.
