CULTURE OF HARD WORK
The greatest lesson our Managing Director learned from the Gurkha army is the importance of investing in training. From growing up in a remote village in Nepal to joining the British army, he was able to witness how the best soldiers were made from a result of hard work and training. This is why training is at the core of YBC.

We actively promote a culture of progress and growth, rooted in hard work and dedication, where dedication and hard work are celebrated and every team member is empowered to succeed and advance in their career. An inspiring testament to this ethos is our Operations Manager, Joshua, who began his journey as a cleaning apprentice at the age of 16. Through more than a decade of unwavering commitment, he has climbed the ranks to his current role, demonstrating the opportunities for growth within our company.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT
As corporate members of BICSc, we extend valuable training and development opportunities to our staff as part of our commitment to their continuous professional growth. Our comprehensive training offerings encompass areas such as health and safety, IOSH certification, and more, all fully funded by YBC. We also support our Managers in obtaining certifications ranging from level 3 to level 5 from CMI.

We are affiliated with Citation and a local company called iHasco, both of which provide an extensive array of online training modules. These user-friendly online platforms empower our staff to engage in self-paced learning. Additionally, YBC is affiliated with the University Centre Quayside, providing our staff with the opportunity to pursue undergraduate degrees, further enriching their knowledge and skills, including in subjects like Maths and English.
