University Deep Cleans

Over the years, we have built up a strong reputation for being able to mobilise large teams of trained operatives, all directly employed by YBC, to carry out deep cleaning at major universities to a high standard at a competitive price in a short time frame. We are currently working with a number of universities and have successfully completed deep cleaning contracts in the past. All of which have required completion within tight deadlines in September, specifically by the end of summer, in preparation for the start of the academic year.

The main services incorporate cleaning of empty student accommodation blocks at the end of their tenancy at the start of summer holidays and also a further refresher deep cleaning services prior to the return of students in September. We have regularly provided over 100 trained staff to carry out residential cleans in Brunel, Southampton, Oxford Brookes, and Kingston universities in the period of June and September where we have demonstrated excellent turnaround time:

• Brunel University (10 days to clean 1,500 rooms)

• Southampton University (2 days to clean 300 rooms)

• Oxford Brookes University (3 days to clean 1,500 rooms)

• Kingston University (5 days to clean 2,000 rooms)

Our most recent case study is Brunel University in 2023. They contacted us with 3 weeks’ notice to carry out end-of-tenancy deep cleaning during the summer holidays. We rose to the occasion, planning our resources according to the University’s needs to carry out deep cleaning for 2000 rooms and 600 kitchens. As with many of our university deep cleaning contracts, our deep cleaning teams stayed at the university accommodation to save on time and transportation costs. This also meant our staff could maximise the working hours during the day by having an early cleaning shift pattern.

For more than ten years, we have delivered university cleaning and have become experts in producing great results. Our ability to provide suitable and efficient staffing from our supply of our staff, DBS cleared staff can be called upon. Because of this, we never need to use any agency staff. This was achieved by strategic planning and mobilisation of multiple cleaning teams targeting and focusing on different blocks at the same time. For each hall, we had a common target of cleaning the following: bedrooms, private kitchens, shared kitchens, hall toilets, private ensuite bathrooms, corridors, and stairwells. Because of our experience, universities know and trust our capability to execute deep cleaning services within the timeframes required.
