  • Environmental
    Working to contribute towards a more sustainable future using green practices and innovations is a continuous project for YBC. Through the integration of people, places, processes, and technology, we ensure functionality, comfort, safety, and efficiency at work. As a cleaning company, YBC recognise the negative impact the cleaning industry has on the environment and believe in a greener future for later generations. We acknowledge that businesses have a responsibility to tackle climate change. We are always looking for new, safer, and more environmentally friendly equipment and methods and are open to any suggestions from our clients. To ensure greener practices are put in place, environmental awareness training is given to all our staff. In addition to our own environmental commitments, we also support our clients with their own sustainability targets at their sites.
  • Safeguarding
    YBC is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults. All our staff receive comprehensive safeguarding training as part of their induction, in line with legislation and guidelines. This training ensures our staff members understand their duty of care towards children and vulnerable adults and have the necessary knowledge and skills to identify and respond effectively to safeguarding concerns that may arise during work. We ensure all staff members are suitable to work at our clients’ sites by verifying their background and suitability through security vetting and compliance with the Disclosure and Barring Service. We conduct enhanced DBS checks to provide an additional layer of assurance to our clients and stakeholders.
  • Health and Safety
    Health and Safety is of paramount importance within our company, and we are dedicated to operating in a manner that prioritises the wellbeing of our employees and everyone involved. We conduct risk assessments and implement necessary measures to guarantee a safe working environment. Our comprehensive health and safety training enforces safe practices across all areas of our operations, covering COSHH, manual handling, RIDDOR, personal protective equipment, and emergency procedures. Our managers and supervisors understand their responsibilities under health and safety legislation. Additionally, we supply our staff with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment tailored to the specific tasks they perform. Our commitment to safety extends to our subcontractors, ensuring they are fully informed of their obligations and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Corporate & Social Responsibility
    Our approach focuses on enhancing the wellbeing of our employees and the communities we serve. We achieve this by investing in a variety of staff training and executing conscientious initiatives within our company. Committed to sustainability, we implement eco-friendly practices across our operations, prioritising the efficiency in the use of resources and progressing towards our sustainability goals, including recycling, energy efficiency, and waste and carbon minimisation. Additionally, we aim to influence our customers towards similar practices by engaging in open dialogue and offering support to help achieve their own social or environmental initiatives. At the core of our strategy lies our successful partnerships with customers, local communities, and stakeholders, where we work together to tackle shared goals.   • Lone Working
    Where possible, we avoid lone working in our operations and opt for working in pairs instead. However, if lone working is necessary, we conduct a risk assessment and have a stringent protocol with safety measures in place. We train any staff working alone to follow guidelines such as security within the building, lighting, communication devices. Regular check-ins are also followed to ensure the wellbeing of any lone workers.
  • Supply Chain
    YBC Cleaning Services is dedicated to ensuring that all aspects of our supply chain management adhere to the minimum standards of practice. Through our supply chain policy, we require sub-contractors and suppliers to align with YBC’s policies and collaborate effectively to deliver the highest quality of service for our customers. We are committed to fostering a healthy and sustainable relationship with our supply chain partners. We strive to achieve value for money in all our procurement and supply chain management activities, working closely with our partners to optimise our operations.
